Where love is the root, gratitude is the flower.

"Some spend their lives preaching Grace but lack the quality of being gracious."

 ~ F. R. Cox 12/22/06

Forty is a very attractive age (I can almost remember....) The world is full of women who have, one way or another,  remained forty for years (each year my calendar is marked "40-AGAIN")!  How quickly we reach this perfectly beautiful age, coast along for awhile... then everything is downhill the rest of the journey!!:-) Happy coasting, beautiful niece!

There is so much beauty in your "Burton Street World".  There are fountains, chimes, gardens, art, antiques, pictures, music, good food, comfort, books, creative wallpaper, flowers, watermelon in a compote, flowers compressed under glass, cloth napkins with lace, artfully hidden power supports (what are they really called),     boxwoods, memories, and so much more.  Look around and recall again the richness.  I will do the same about my corner of the world.  We are rich and blessed people, very rich, very blessed.

For me ~ From John ~ Thank You!  9/13/06

One must wait until evening to see

how splendid the day has been.

For Harold (Happy Birthday!) 4/29/06

The reason you are so good at what you do is because you are still learning, therefore always striving to reach your goal. A goal you can not reach because you will be always learning!

For me ~ From Rick Thaxton ~ Thank you! 3/4/05

You may have thought you lost the passion for your art, but it was just smoldering until it was time to grow to a full flame again.

For me ~ From Michelle ~ Thank you! 5/4/04

I wish you joy
I wish you laughter
I wish you brave beginnings
And happy endings!
 For Laura and Gary   ~Mom

Like Clouds and wind without rain is a
Man who boasts of a gift he does not give.
~Proverbs 25:14

May the sun bring you new energies
May the rain wash away any worries
May the gentle breeze refresh your soul
May you walk gently through life
And inhale its beauty!

For Jenny and Frank    ~Mom

TODAY
I wish for you
Peace, Happiness and Contentment –
Doled out in teeny-tiny bite-size pieces
Until you become keenly aware
That the Lord is watching over you
Caring for you gently.

For Melissa and Mike   ~mb

I thank my God every time
I remember you…
From the first day until now.
 For  Jim  ~mb  11/27/05

And Ral  ~mb  12/31/07

I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, "Do not fear; I will help you."

For Rhonda   ~Isaiah 41:9, 10, 13

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.

For Chad and Debbie   ~Proverbs 3:5,6

For He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways.

For Ann and Mike   ~Psalm 91:11

Dear Lord, ...help us to turn loose of the things we can not keep, so that we might hold fast those things we dare not lose. Amen

For Tony and Barb ~ Pastor Ron DeGraaff, Seniors' pastor at my church 4/25/04

I do have to confess to being a realist
Part of why I can’t write poetry.
But realism and imagination
Can counter balance each other
So that we don’t go off on tangents
Too far one way or the other.
~Jim  4/20/04

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away!

For Michelle and Jim

God has placed someone in your life so that you can be better at what you do than you would be by yourself.

For Dave and Susan  ~My Pastor, Jeff Harlow

Change is inevitable and our ability to cope with change determines, to a great degree, our peace, happiness, and contentment in life.

For Bevie   ~mb

Mary, I have a waiting list for your book. Just paint when you feel inspired. I think God gave you a special talent and He is showing you many doors, and they are all with your art. I even think that when your time comes, there will be an unfinished piece on your easel!

For me ~ From my friend, Jo Jo ~ Thank you! 5/4/04
