MAN OH MAN!

On any GOOD DAY, my man –

You are the SPICE in my cake
You are the LEAVENING in my bread
You are the JELLY on my waffle
You are the HONEY in my spread.

You are the STAR in my night
You are the LIGHT on my street
You are the POCKET on my 'jamas
You are the SLIPPERS on my feet.

You are the SOAP in my bubbles
You are the RIPPLES in my brook.
You are the SMOKE in my chimney
You are the SNOW on my roof.

~~

But on a BAD DAY, my man - Beware!

You are the WORM in my apple
You are the ACHE in my gut
You are the BAT in my belfry
You are the MUD in my rut.

You are the FROWN on my face
You are the SNIFFLE in my 'dose
You are the ACHE in my heart
You are the LUMP in my throat.

But Thank God, My Man, This too shall pass!

You are the ROSE in my garden
You are the DREAM in my sleep
You are the LEAD in my pencil
You are the PEN in my ink.

You are the KNOCK-KNOCK in my joke
You are the TWINKLE in my eye
You are the FIRE in my furnace
You are the SUN in my sky.

You are the MUSIC in my heart
You are the WINDOW to my Soul
You are the MELODY in my song -
But I can’t say for how long…!

MY MAN is ALL THINGS TO ME
Good, bad, great and small
Our Heavenly Father hath created us all!
I THANK GOD FOR MY MAN -
...Sometimes!

~ Afterthoughts ~ 

MAN! Isn't this a portrait 
of the complicated miracle we are
whom God created from Adam’s rib?! 

Ladies, we can whine and sigh and blame God 
For making us an emotional mess, 
But our Lord and our mate, we must humbly confess,
Will wear a Royal Crown of Righteousness
For accepting us and loving us just as we are!
Otherwise, our man, (and God, I fear…grin) might say
“THAT DOES IT! I’M OUT OF HERE!”
COMMITMENT- not FEELINGS- is the GLUE
In our marriage as well as
In our relationship with God!
