The Music Lesson

SONG OF GRATITUDE When I was downhearted and forlorn
When "happenings” brought squeals of delight
but no one to share,
When falsely judged by a pompous, self-righteous bore,
When told of serious eye problems, through your Grace,
When all I needed was a prayer
When I just needed a friend
When the world grieved over a tragic loss
When I struggled over a computer project
When I labored to make my writing sing
When my website took wings and I danced for joy!
When my Art Reflections book took cover
Through the long days and longer nights of Ken’s final week, in Spirit When I craved music to soothe my splintered soul... Lord,

~Afterthoughts~
A FRIEND can sing the song for you when you have forgotten the words.
Life is lived by looking ahead but is understood by looking back.
What can be expected to be dropped is held in the hands, but what is in the heart I shall die with.
To know another is not to know that person’s face, but to know that person’s heart.
Prayer knocks until a door opens.
Life is a gift…not a game.
However long the night, the dawn will break.
You may light another’s candle with your own without loss.
The measure of our sacrifice is the measure of our love.
Where there is peace, God is.
