Are you in the valley with your caregiving?
You have climbed over the mountain.
Now it's time to rest.
Be Still.
REST in the valley.
The valley can be peaceful.
And quiet.
Soothing.
The valley refreshes you,
Prepares you for tomorrow.
The valley prepares you
For another climb.

FAITH
is allowing your soul to go beyond what your eyes can see.
For we walk by faith not by sight.

Dark as my path may seem to others,
I carry a magic light in my heart.
Faith, the spiritual strong searchlight,
illumines the way, and although sinister doubts
lurk in the shadows, I
walk unafraid toward the enchanted wood
where the foliage is always green,
where joy abides, where nightingales nest and
sing, and where life and death are one
in the presence of the Lord.

If there is light in the soul,
There will be beauty in the person,
If there is beauty in the person,
There will be harmony in the house,
If there is harmony in the house,
There will be order in the nation,
If there is order in the nation,
There will be peace in the world.

It was in caregiving I met
HEAD ON
the reality that
WEALTH
is measured not by the things
We have,
But by the things we have
For which we would not take money.
...For a man's life consists not in the abundance
of the things he possesses.
Luke 12:15![]()

HE LEADETH ME
Rev. John F. Chaplain
In pastures green? Not always; sometimes He
Who knoweth best, in kindness leadeth me
in many ways where heavy shadows be.
Out of the sunshine warm and soft and bright
Out of the sunshine into the darkest night,
I oft would faint with sorrow and affright,
Only for this -- I know He holds my hand;
So whether in the green or desert land
I trust although I may not understand.
And by still waters? No, not always so:
Ofttimes the heavy tempests round me blow.
And o'er my soul the waters and billows go.
But when the storms beat loudest and I cry
Aloud for help, the Master standeth by
And whispers to my soul, "Lo, it isI."
Above the tempest wild I hear Him say,
"Beyond this darkness lies a perfect day.
In every path of thine I lead the way."
So whether on the hilltops high and fair
I dwell, or in the sunless valleys where
The shadows lie -- what matters? He is there.
So where He leads me, I can safely go,
And in the blest hereafter I shall know
Why, in His wisdom, He hath led me so.

My Dear Caregiver,
After you REST
Remember,
It is in serving we receive
Much more than we could ever
Give away!
...Honor shall uphold the humble in spirit.

PEACE came singing into my room
Other guests took flight.
GRIEF,
ANXIETY,
FEAR,
DOUBT,
Quickly vanished out of sight.
Dear Lord, just for today, may I humbly stay close to You
and rest in the calmness of Your Peace.
Amen.

Our Father,
Which art in
heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom,
And the power,
And the glory, forever...
Amen!
